Batgirl's retaliation against DCS claiming the film was so bad it had to be put to rest for the rest ...

If you hear the same sentence often enough, there's a good possibility there's at least a hint of truth to it, so there are plenty of reasons to believe Batgirl was actually as terrible as we've been told.

Warner Bros. invested an estimated $90 million on the HBO Max exclusive blockbuster, but new CEO David Zaslav canceled the project and stated that it would never be released in any form. While the move was down to tax incentives and cost-cutting measures, word began to spread that Batgirl was simply not up to par.

In fact, DC Studios' co-owner Peter Safran came right out and stated that the film in its final form was not only "unreleasable," but that releasing it out into the world would have significantly harmed the brand in the short and long run. Naturally, star Leslie Grace wasn't going to sing from that songbook when she was asked about it in an interview with Variety.

The star of the project isn't going to publicly admit that the biggest part of their career till this point was so sucked that it had to be buried six feet under and never mentioned again, but there's a sneaking suspicion that Batgirl was hidden from the world for a very good reason.
