Ella Hunt, who plays Dickinson, has become the latest actor to join Kevin Costner's Horizon cast.
Hunt will play Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, and Jamie Campbell Bower in Costner's western film, which began filming earlier this year. Luke Wilson and Thomas Haden Church are also part of the large cast.
Costner will direct, compose, and perform roles in the film set around the time of the American Civil War, portraying the West's development both before and after the conflict.
Costner, who has fond memories of the genre following his Academy Award nomination for Dances with Wolves, has returned to the directing position for the first time since 2003's Open Range. Costner said he intends to make four films from the same book.
In the Apple TV+ series Dickinson, Hunt played author Sue Gilbert, which depicted the life of famous poet Emily Dickinson (Hailee Steinfeld) and her connection with Hunt's character.
Hunt previously said that the conclusion of the program was "very moving." The show will resume in 2021, after three seasons.
While staring on Dickinson, she said she lived "a queer dream" and paying tribute to what the program did for queer representation. "I think the program does a fantastic job of giving relationships the depth and beauty and chaos they deserve," she said.
Hunt's other credits include Cold Feet, Lore, and Master, which was released on Amazon Prime Video earlier this year. Her next role will be as Mrs Flint in Lady Chatterley's Lover, with Emma Corrin and Jack O'Connell in the latest adaptation of DH Lawrence's novel.
Dickinson is available to watch on Apple TV+. Horizon currently has no release date.
