Builds and Teams for Pokemon Unite (September 2022)

Builds and Teams for Pokemon Unite (September 2022) ...

For Pokemon Unite players, there are a slew of changes to get used to. Not only is there a new map, but a couple more characters have just joined the roster.

Which Pokemon should players choose to join Pokemon Unite?

  • Moves: Blaze Kick and Feint
  • Items: Muscle Band, Scope Lens, Razor Claw
  • Battle Item: X Speed

Because there is a lot more farm on the new map, it's best to use Pokemon that leverage it, such as Cinderace, which can still dominate games if it gets to level 7 early, which is guaranteed when taking it into the jungle. The only downside to using Cinderace is that other Pokemon may outperform Cinderace (Gengar, Glaceon, Greninja, etc.).

  • Moves: Sacred Sword and Wide Guard
  • Items: Focus Band, Muscle Band, Weakness Policy
  • Battle Item: Full Heal

Aegislash is a strange creature in that it prefers the jungle to the lane, but it can also thrive in lane with the right support. Wide Guard can save it from being injured, which also makes it one of the few optimal Weakness Policy users. Aegislash's Unite Move is also great at deterring a key threat on the enemy team.

  • Moves: Surf and Dive
  • Items: Choice Specs, Wise Glasses, Float Stone
  • Battle Item: Eject Button

Cramorant has had a wild adventure as a result of the introduction of emblems. This is most likely due to the Cooldown Reduction emblems many players prefer to use on Cramorant. Once there, Cramorant can dive around the map, dealing damage and disengaging.

  • Moves: Ancient Power and Dark Pulse
  • Items: Focus Band, Muscle Band, Weakness Policy
  • Battle Item: Full Heal

Tyranitar is practically unkillable due to its level advantage. When combined with a Focus Band, it gives the Pokemon almost infinite longevity. Full Heal makes it more of a threat since it will be immune to crowd control early on.

  • Moves: Solarbeam and Light Screen
  • Items: Choice Specs, Wise Glasses, Float Stone
  • Battle Item: Eject Button

The latest member of Pokemon Unite's cast of characters is also one of the strongest. It can be frustrating to lane against a Pokemon that gets Solarbeam in the early stages of the match. Some Mew prefers going with Electro Ball to ensure better kills, but Solarbeam makes Mew a great objective stealer and backline mage.

  • Moves: Power Swap and Psychic
  • Items: Wise Glasses, Focus Band, Buddy Barrier
  • Battle Item: Slow Smoke

Mr. Mime started Season 6 with a massive buff. It has since been reworked a bit, but no worries, it's still as broken as ever. By casting it on an enemy, you can keep them healthy throughout a team battle.

  • Moves: Surf and Smokescreen
  • Items: Muscle Band, Focus Band, Attack Weight
  • Battle Item: Eject Button

Greninja has never been that bad in Pokemon Unite, but it has arguably never been so good. Greninja can Surf through all of the small Natu and Swablu/Altaria camps around the map. It's quite reasonable to hit level 9 before the first Regieleki, where players can simply drop their Unite Move and snowball from there.

  • Moves: Triple Axel and Trop Kick
  • Items: Muscle Band, Focus Band, Attack Weight
  • Battle Item: Eject Button

Tsareena is a tough to deal with in an alley or brush for opposing teams. The added bonus to Stomp is that it can just run Triple Axel instead. The one thing keeping Tsareena from becoming a plague on the meta is that it still has a problematic laning phase.

  • Moves: Icicle Spear and Freeze Dry
  • Items: Choice Specs, Wise Glasses, Focus Band
  • Battle Item: X Speed

Glaceon is a unique Attacker in that it can use X Speed to escape an Attacker's range while dropping an Icicle Spear behind them.

  • Moves: Dream Eater and Shadow Ball
  • Items: Choice Specs, Wise Glasses, Float Stone
  • Battle Item: Eject Button

Gengar is by far the best Pokemon for solo queue play. With a Blissey to Safeguard their entire team, Gengar is free to hypnotize everyone and flash behind them for quick and easy kills. Even if a Gengar user finds an opposing Blissey, it simply consumes too much health.
