Nightfall is one of the more obscure ultimate abilities INVALORANT. Players panic when Fade unleashes her ultimate ability across the map, largely because the ability has many benefits and can be overwhelming for those who are new to it. Here's a quick breakdown of the ability in case you're still unclear what Fades ultimate ability, Nightfall, is all about.
When you are affected by Nightfall, your vision will be reduced, your hearing will be deafened, and your health pool will disintegrate. This condition means that you cannot hear anything until it is in very close proximity to your agent's position.
When the enemy Fade yells, players will be able to flee from its grasp, avoiding the ability's impending effects. It's time to go to an unoccupied area.
Nightfall causes your agent to be plagued with whispers, making it difficult to hear footsteps or gunshots until they are directly in front of you. Although Nightfall prevents you from hearing in-game sounds, youll still be able to communicate with your team.
Fades Nightfall may be best compared to Nocturnes ultimate ability, Paranoia, in League of Legends.
Fades Nightfall also causes your surroundings to go dark, and your agents health pool to rapidly decay for a brief period of time. During the ultimates duration, your agent will be significantly more vulnerable to opposing players, as your decayed health pool will only require one shot (in many cases).
Nightfall marks your agent with a trail that reveals your position. The more you move while this trail is on you, the easier it will be for enemies to follow it and hunt you down.
Nightfalls' effects last for 12 seconds, which is enough time for a round to be decided in its entirety. If youre close enough to the abilitys border of effect, make sure you run away from it and give yourself a fighting chance against Fade and her teammates.
