Season 3 of Upload adds a Grey's Anatomy star to the cast ...

Jeanine Mason, who plays Grey's Anatomy, has joined the cast for the third season of Upload.

According to Variety, the actress will play Karina Silva on the sci-fi series that is available on Amazon Prime Video. The character is described as a "charming senior Horizen executive in charge of new product development and cybersecurity."

Robbie Amell, Andy Allo, and Kevin Bigley are all cast in the show, which premiered in 2020, and is set in the near future. The second season, which consisted of seven episodes, was broadcast in March.

Greg Daniels' creation of the show was renewed for a third season in May, according to Amazon's CEO of global TV Vernon Sanders: "The series continues to connect and create endless possibilities for technology and humanity."

"With Greg's distinctive comedic flair along with the dynamic creative team and talented actors, they've created a globally relevant series which we're all extremely proud to bring back another season for our customers."

Mason, who played Dr Sam Bello in Roswell, New Mexico, was cast in 12 episodes of Grey's Anatomy in 2017, and 2018.

The 19th season of the medical drama is set to premiere next month, and main star Ellen Pompeo will be reducing her screen time for the upcoming Hulu show.

Kate Walsh will return in a recurring role to fill the void left by the show's titular actor, while cast members such as Alexis Floyd and Adelaide Kane have been upgraded to regular roles.

Seasons 1 to 17 of Grey's Anatomy will be available on Disney+ on October 6, while season 18 is available on Sky Witness and NOW.
