Canelo Alvarez's trilogy fight with Gennadiy Golovkin will take place on Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and many experts are already counting Canelo to win inside the distance.
Canelo is expected to win by knockout over GGG, according to prominent figures from the world of boxing, including Amir Khan. The last bout ended in a majority decision for Canelo way back in 2018, after the pair first slugged their way to a split decision a year earlier.
Canelo vs. GGG is expected to begin around 11 p.m. ET, and the fight card will be available exclusively through DAZN: Live Streaming.

Khan, speaking in a live chat on his Instagram page, per Boxing Scenes Sean Nam, said he believes Canelo is at the peak of his career. He holds the weight admirably. Power, speed. I think Canelo [stopping Golovkin] may be able to compete in that bout.
Canelo has the hands big enough to crush GGG for the count. Yet, according to BoxRec.com, Golovkin has never been knocked out as a pro.
Jordan Ellis said on TalkSports that while he has been an exceptional shooter, Golovkins speed and range of motion may have deteriorated with age. It's possible that he's in the fourth decade of his career.
Saunders was not speaking lightly. He was speaking as someone who has firsthand knowledge of the trauma Canelo can inflict on an opponent. Saunders' eye socket was fractured in 2021, resulting in an eighth-round stoppage:
Canelo landed a high percentage of his power punches in most rounds, according to statistics from BoxingScene.com at the time.

Golovkin cannot afford to let anything go unnoticed, or he will suffer the same fate as Saunders, despite GGG having proven in the past that he can fire Canelos' best shots. One such incident occurred during their first fight when Golovkin was caught flush by a powerful overhand right.
GGG revealed on Instagram that the punch felt like a slap, but it was a shot that had killed other fighters, including Khan.
Is GGG able to take the pressure off of Canelos' stride and back him off long enough for the senior guy to pick his own shots? The answer is yes, with Golovkin putting Ryota Muruta on the mat three times back in April.

Canelo will have to fight back for the whole 12 rounds if Golovkin can use the same solid striking to keep Cinnamon at bay.
