Datamining in Splatoon 3 may hint at three new Salmon Run modes in future versions ...

In Splatoon 3, a reliable dataminer discovered new Salmon Run modes in the titles files. Pair, Underground, and Contest are likely to be included in an upcoming update that Nintendo has yet to release.

Salmon Run is a cooperative multiplayer game mode that can be reintroduced as a limited-time event like the Big Run in Splatoon 2 and returned in Splatoon 3. Each wave has a timer, and the players must complete a quota to complete a wave.

In a future update, there are three possible new Salmon Run modes: Pair, Underground, and "Contest."Pair and Underground will have their own pay grades and titles. Additionally, Underground will have higher quotas (per wave: +3 / +5 / +7) than usual.

All players who do not meet the quota are splatted, and their shifts are terminated. The player rank and rank in each Salmon Run are different from the main Splatoon 3 multiplayer level and rank.

OatmealDome discovered that the new Salmon Run modes would add more variety to the gameplay and make it new for players who have exhausted all of the gaming options currently presented in the mode. It therefore makes sense that the game would continue to be updated.
