MW2 | SnD | Revives & 3v3 "Raids": All New Modes ...

All of the confirmed new modes for Modern Warfare 2 are listed right here. So far, we've heard about a couple of no-respawn modes and a strange new thing called "Raids."

We've just seen a few of the new modes in Modern Warfare 2 as part of the CoD Next presentation, and we're pretty excited about the direction they're going in. This is great news for SnD fans, as two new modes will follow the same no-respawn, round-based structure.

New MW2 Game Modes

Knockout is a no-respawn mode like Search and Destroy, but revives are enabled. The objective to winning each round is either killing all of the enemies or keeping control of "the package," a collectible item that appears in the middle of the map when killed.

Prison Rescue is played in rounds with no-respawns and revives enabled, as with Knockout, as the first team with 500 points wins.

Modern Warfare 2 will include Raids as a new mode, although they will not be available at the time of launch, rather they will be available on a later release. We don't know much about Raids yet, but they're being described as a competitive small-team experience. We'll update you as soon as we learn more.

Invasion is a new Ground War mode that will be played on Warzone 2 POIs. It's basically a massive Team Deathmatch with vehicles, with one exception: each team has 20 AI combatants to help them to attack both teams.

Returning MW2 Game Modes

Team Deathmatch and Domination have only been 100% confirmed, but in a few promotional images we've also seen the symbols for Capture the Flag and Search and Destroy. The real question is whether Gunfight (MW2019s popular mode) will return or Control (which has been used by the CDL in the previous couple of years). We'll update you as soon as we know more.
