As Season 2 of Modern Warfare 2, the competitive experience is coming to an end. Here are the best loadouts to use along with Perks and Equipment in Ranked Play.

In Modern Warfare 2 Season 2, the Ranked Play mode will be introduced, offering players a competitive Call of Duty experience. From the Skill Division and Ranks format to the extensive list of Ranked Play rewards, there's a lot to keep up.

Players in Modern Warfare 2 will also need to learn the CDL guidelines. Certain weapons and Equipment are restricted in Ranked Play. In Season 2, we've compiled the best Ranked Play loadouts.

  • Best Ranked Play Primary weapons
  • Best Ranked Play Secondary weapons
  • Best Ranked Play Lethals and Tacticals
  • Best Ranked Play Perks
  • Best Ranked Play Field Upgrades

Play Primary weapons in Modern Warfare 2 are ranked.

The four-vs-4 gameplay of Hardpoint, Control, and Search & Destroy is featured in Ranked Play. Your role in your team of four will largely depend on your choice of Primary weapon.

Assault rifles are excellent for holding down lanes, while SMGs make you an ideal candidate to break into hardpoints.

The M4, Kastov-74u, and STB 556 were added to the list of prohibited weapons prior to the release of Ranked Play. While you may have used them in CDL Moshpit, they will not be available in Ranked Play.

Here are the best primary weapons for Modern Warfare 2's Ranked Play mode, irrespective of the role you intend to play.

TAQ-56 Modern Warfare 2 Rankked Play loadout

  • Barrel: 17.5″ Tundra Pro Barrel
  • Underbarrel: FSS Sharkfin 90
  • Ammunition: High Velocity
  • Rear Grip: Demo Cleanshot Grip
  • Stock: TV Xline Pro

For those who prefer their long-range weapons to have a friendly recoil pattern, the TAQ-56 is a straightforward assault rifle to control.

Mobility and fast ADS speed are critical for any competitive Modern Warfare 2 weapon. Therefore, the Demo Cleanshot Grip and TV Xline Pro will prove invaluable as they boost ADS speed among other mobility improvements.

The TAQ-56 also has a lot of flexibility, and you may swap around certain attachments. For example, High Velocity ammunition, the TV Cardinal Stock, the FSS Sharkfin 90, and Comando Foregrip are also popular attachments for the TAQ-56.

Also, it's important to note that pros are required to use the 17.5′′ Tundra Pro Barrel as a Gentlemen's Agreement, but many Ranked Play enthusiasts agree that the weapon is better without a Barrel attachment.

Modern Warfare 2 ranked loadout with Vaznev-9k

  • Muzzle: Bruen Pendulum
  • Underbarrel: FSS Sharkfin 90
  • Stock: Otrezat Stock
  • Rear Grip: True-Tac Grip

The Vaznev is an extremely versatile close-range weapon for SMG players to use in Ranked Play. The Bruen Pendulum will reduce some of the weapon's aggressive kick.

The Otrezat Stock will increase the weapon's ADS speed, which is the key to this fast-paced SMG loadout.

Due to the fact that a fifth would jeopardize some of the abilities we're hoping to achieve with this weapon, we've only chosen four attachments.

Loadout for MCPR-300 Modern Warfare 2 is ranked.

  • Ammunition: .300 Mag High Velocity
  • Magazine: 5 Round Mag
  • Rear Grip: Cronen Cheetah Grip
  • Stock: FSS Merc Stock

The MCPR is one of the finest Sniper Rifles to use in Ranked Play matches due to its damage potential. For starters, the 5 Round Mag will make the Sniper heavier, allowing you to move faster.

For those long Search & Destroy moments in which a split second can cost your life, the Cronen Cheetah Grip and FSS Merc Stock will enable you to ADS faster.

Loadout for LA-B 330 Modern Warfare 2 is ranked.

  • Barrel: 23.5” Fluted R-67 Barrel
  • Bolt: FSS ST87 Bolt
  • Stock: ZLR T70 Pad Extension Stock

The LA-B 330 is a quick and snappy Sniper Rifle that you can use to combat Search & Destroy.

Current CDL pros are split between both Snipers, with others such as former OpTic Texas player Indervir ‘iLLeY’ Dhaliwa favored the LA-B 330.

Play Secondary weapons in Modern Warfare 2 are ranked.

The list of secondary weapons for Ranked Play is a brief one, seeing as Launchers are no longer allowed as secondary weapons for the competitive mode. While a Handgun can provide the edge in certain gunfights, Melee weapons allow you to move around the map quicker.

Loadout for X12 Modern Warfare 2 is ranked.

  • Muzzle: XRK Ventor-900
  • Trigger Action: XRK Ligting Fire
  • Rear Grip: Cronen Lima-6

In Modern Warfare 2's Ranked Play, the X12 is the popular secondary weapon. It's the quickest handgun available and for this reason, CDL pros have gravitated toward the weapon.

The Cronen Lima-6 and XRK Ventor-900 improve ADS speed and recoil control.

Play Combat Knife Search & Destroy with a Ranked Play.

The Combat Knife is highly recommended for players looking to get to their preferred power positions in Search and Destroy as swift as possible. The Knife will work in tandem with Double Time to significantly increase your Tactical Sprint duration.

Play Lethals & Tacticals in Modern Warfare 2 is ranked.

Modern Warfare 2 players will want to choose a Frag Grenade or Semtex because of their precision on any given objective point.

The powerful Flash Grenade has been banned by CDL experts, but you can still equip it in Ranked Play. The only other viable alternative is the Smoke Grenade, which was added to the restricted list.

Modern Warfare 2's Play Perks are ranked.

Ultimate Perks will not be considered in competitive matches, according to the CDL guidelines, and this applies to Ranked Play. Players will therefore choose a combination of three Perks in the Modern Warfare 2 mode.

Double Time, Battle Hardened, and Bomb Squad are recommended for Hardpoint and Control, while Double Time should be included for S&D.

Focus can help reduce weapon flinch on long-range AR loads.

Cold Blooded should only be equipped when an enemy player has earned a Killstreak.

Modern Warfare 2's Play Field Upgrades Are Ranked

Fans of Modern Warfare 2 who want to go in the Ranked Play mode may choose between Dead Silence or the Trophy System as their field upgrade of choice.

A well-balanced four-player squad will want two players running Dead Silence and two players running the Trophy System. This is particularly true in respawn modes. More players may opt for Dead Silence in Search & Destroy due to the necessity of not giving away your position in the mode.
