According to a new survey from Qustodio, children spent more time per day in Roblox than any other mobile app in 2022. Roblox is even more popular than TikTok, which only had two hours a day.
Roblox was also the most popular game in the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Australia, with 59% of kids choosing the game globally, with Clash Royale in second place with 24%, and Minecraft second with 23%.
According to the report, while the time spent on Roblox has only risen by 4% worldwide, it's difficult to see how levels might get significantly higher, since children are spending 180 minutes – three hours – on the programming game every day.
Roblox was also the most blocked game among parents. “As seen with most categories in our report, children's most popular apps tend to also be the most blocked, which explains why kids' top five gaming apps are also reflected in the global blocking positions.
Roblox has risen to become the most blocked game in Spain for the first year since we began reporting, owing to parents' concerns about inappropriate and adult content and the growing amount of time spent by children on the platform in 2021 and 2022.
Roblox spent 78 minutes per day in 2019, and it's hard to imagine that the increase would slow down anytime soon.
