The remasters of Suikoden 1 and 2 will be released next year ...

Konami delivered the goods at this years Tokyo Game Show, revealing the return of a beloved game series. In 2023, it will release remasters of the classic role-playing games Suikoden and Suikoden 2.

Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars: Suikoden 1 & 2 HD The game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows PC, and Switch. New lighting and atmospheric effects, new character portraits, and new lighting effects were created by original artist Junko Kawano

It appears that the games' translation into English has been changed; the localization of these games is well-known, if occasionally amusing, and horrifying. This fact was not included by Konami in the press release, although it is apparent from IGN's footage.

Suikoden's five mainline titles and a number of spinoffs were created between 1995 and 2012, but nothing has been learned about it in ten years. Eiyuden Chronicle, a spiritual successor made by several key creators of the original games, is also due for release next year. That campaign raised over $3 million on Kickstarter, which might have prompted Konami to reconsider its choice.
