Aurelion Sol was the latest League of Legends champion to receive a complete gameplay upgrade earlier this week, and, like almost all champions who receive a rework, his play rate increased significantly.
Aurelion Sol's pick rate in solo queue games has dropped from less than one percent to 16 percent, owing to a high ban rate of 55 percent, the highest among all players in the game.

Aurelion Sol's 55% ban rate is so low on Patch 13.3 that it's nearly 10 percent higher than the next-highest mark (which belongs to Maokai) and 20 percent higher than the third-most banned champion in the game (Kassadin) in all Platinum-or-higher solo queue drafts.
The champion's win percentage is steadily declining, despite Aurelion Sol's increasing play rate and outrageous ban rate, for the first time in months after the extensive overhaul of Aurelion Sol's kit.
Aurelion has yet to make his mark on the pro scene just yet, because Patch 13.3 has not yet been enabled in competitive play. However, if any of these high-Elo trends are any indicator, the reworked Star Forger might play a major role in future Leagu esports matches.
Aurelion Sol was temporarily deactivated from the League servers yesterday due to a few game-breaking bugs. The difficulties have now been resolved and the champion is ready to take on additional champion selections.
