On February 13, the League of Legends Patch 13.4 preview arrived, and with it, a large number of changes will be made to the game's roster of champions as well as a few systems and items. A total of 20 champions will be affected, with 11 remaining.
According to Riot Phroxon, who made the announcement on Twitter, the majority of the nine champions planned to be nerfed in the patch.
Maokai, Elise, Udyr, and Jarvan IV are all set to be nerfed in the next League patch. Viego, the only other champion to receive a balance change this patch, is the only other four junglers to be buffed.
Aurelion Sol, who has been tearing up the solo queue scene since his rework was released on live servers just a few days ago, has had no direct buffs or nerfs. Riot is likely to wait to see how the champion affects pro play before making any significant changes.
Riot and Amazon appear to have halted the League Prime Gaming capsule collusion.
When patches to items such as Spellthief's Edge and Spectral Sickle are also added in Patch 13.4, another group of champions will likely experience indirect power decreases. Those nerfs are likely to be targeted at the ADC-as-Support meta that's been popping up in pro games in recent weeks.
Riot will most likely give them a compensatory boost in a future patch if any champions become too nerfed by these indirect item changes.
Riot intends to boost overall XP gained from kills, as well as the amount of "comeback experience" league winners gain when they're behind in a game.
League Patch 13.4 will go live on February 23 as per the patch schedule.
