On Tuesday, Nintendo announced the official title for the highly anticipated sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The next mainline Zelda game will be called The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which left fans with one question: Which tears?
Is it possible to read or describe tears as in crying or shedding a tear, or as tears as in tearing a sheet of paper?
Nintendo explained that the game's name is meant to be read as tears, as in crying, on Friday. So, here you go. Maybe we'll be sobbing our way through this Zelda game.
The game is already causing much more mystery than this, as eager fans have developed many theories based on all of the trailers.
Tears of the Kingdom: The Legend of Zelda is scheduled to be released on Nintendo Switch in May 2023.
