A virtual trading card game called Genshin Impact is being developed ...

Genshin Impact's developers have announced yet another enhancement to the game: Genius Invokation, a virtual trading card game that you may play within the game's world on December 7.

The cards are all based on Genshin Impact characters and creatures. (The newly announced character Cyno apparently enjoys playing it.) It will most likely be a PvE mode that is light and casual, and no rewards.

Footage showed turn-based combat between two opposing sides, with board cards based on Keqing, Diluc, Xingqiu, and Mona. All cards can be acquired through gameplay, so its apparent that players will not need to use gacha elements to obtain all of the cards.

The news was shared as part of the upcoming 3.1 update stream, which revealed the game's next mainline quest. In Mondstadt, you'll be invited to join the Fatui Harbingers for a thrilling adventure and a celebration.
