Is Max Thieriot about to leave SEAL Team following the events of the season 6 premiere? We know that there have been worries about his future for some time.
What's the reason for this? It's quite simple: The teaser for the next season stated that Clay Spenser would be hospitalized following the ambush in the season 5 finale, despite the fact that Max is working on a new CBS program called Fire Country that will take a fair amount of his time. We're not sure about his long-term future, but for the time being, here's what we can tell you.
In an interview with showrunner Spencer Hudnut leading up to the premiere, he stated strongly that Clay will have a long-term storyline this season, and that Max deserves to receive significant credit for figuring out a way to stay able to execute both programs for the time being.
Clays future portrayal will be completely different from what we've seen in the past. However, at the end of the episode, youll see a pretty dramatic twist for the character. He will have a different narrative this season, and that means not always being around the rest of the Bravo Team. Yet, it is a way for him to stay a part of the show during periods when Max was unavailable.
The fate of Thieriot beyond Season 6, though, remains to be seen! This is a long season, and its difficult to predict what will happen from here on out.
