Jacob Elordi of Euphoria is set to play Elvis Presley in Sofia Coppola's Priscilla film.
The film, based on Priscilla Presley's 1985 memoir Elvis and Me, will chronicle intimate moments from her marriage to the King of Rock and Roll and will begin filming this autumn in Toronto.
Cailee Spaeny, a Mare of Easttown actress, will play the role of Priscilla alongside Elordi, who also starred in Netflix's Kissing Booth trilogy of films, according to Deadline.
Hollywood continues to select musical icons for biopics after Rocketman and Bohemian Rhapsody's enormous success.
After Austin Butler, Tom Hanks, and director Baz Luhrmann gave us the award-contender Elvis just a few months ago, Priscilla will not be the first notable Presley film.
Back in June, Luhrmann revealed that Harry Styles from Don't Worry Darling originally auditioned for Presley.
Why would he not include him at the forefront of his film if he isn't a transcendental figure?
"Harry is a gifted actor. I'd like to do something with him, but the main issue with Harry is, he's Harry Styles. He's already an icon.
"Harry and I travelled to a place, really, he was just eager to put the shirt on and discover. He's such a fantastic guy, and I have nothing but great things to say about Harry Styles," said the filmmaker of The Great Gatsby.
"Aust was a man who would admit to you yourself that I didn't choose him, it's as if he was drawn into the role because he was almost born to it."
