In Chapter 3, season 4, there will be all new POIs and changes to Fortnites' map ...

Epic Games has changed its map once more as part of the Season 4 update.

While some of the existing ones have shifted beyond recognition, we get our first look at the new map and what kind of changes await in Chapter Three, season four.

All new POIs and changes on Fortnites map

As The Herald arrives on the island with her new Chrome force, there have been a number of changes. This has resulted in some serious changes on both sides of the island in the coming update.

With the Reality Trees bloom completely destroyed, what used to be a flourishing ecosystem has been reduced to decaying woodlands. The tree and the biome have now become a blur of what they were last season.

The new Lagoon has now been infected by the Chrome that appears around the POI's base. Players should keep an eye on their steps in case they get infected with the strange liquid.

Since there's a big platform with lots of Chrome surrounding it, it's likely that this is where The Herald lives. The Herald appears to be a boss that players will battle at some point during this season.

The entire POI has been changed, and it is unlikely to be replaced with the temple mini-game that provided players with a lot of loot last season. Instead, the Chrome liquid appears to have absorbed the entire POI.

Fort Jonesy is likely to be the last remaining safeguarding against the Herald in these troubled times.

While there are certainly some major changes to be made to the map, many of the POIs appear to remain the same, for the time being.

  • Logjam Junction
  • Sleepy Sound
  • Shifty Shafts
  • Rave Cave
  • Coney Crossroads
  • Reality Tree
  • Tilted Towers
  • Greasy Grove
  • Rocky Reels
  • Cloudy COndos
  • Chonkers Speedway
  • Synapse Station

While these locations appear to be fine for now, the Chrome might easily take them over if it is allowed to spread. It's up to Fortnite players and The Paradigm to get rid of the Chrome and bring their friends back to the island.
