The Modern Warfare 2 Formula 1 map appears to have vanished ...

After the Call of Duty games' current beta was supposed to allow players to test the racetrack map before the multiplayer game released next month, all official posts about a Modern Warfare 2 Formula 1 map reportedly were removed from the internet.

We've reached out to Activision for a response on why all mention of the Formula 1 map on official channels has been removed, and we'll update this story when we receive a response.

The Modern Warfare 2 map, which is called the Marina Bay Grand Prix, is inspired by the Singapore Formula 1 track, and would feature automobiles racing in real time while players are watching their matches online.

At this point, it's unclear whether the map will work in Modern Warfare 2, and the reason for the complete wiping of any and all details remains unanswered.

The Modern Warfare 2 Formula 1 map has been removed while the multiplayer beta for the game is underway ahead of the game's full release on September 16 to 20. The PlayStation exclusive beta period will run until September 22 to 26.

Some players in the Modern Warfare 2 beta believe the game is moving too fast, as the time to kill has been increased much quicker than in 2019's Modern Warfare reboot. Infinity Ward is also actively seeking player feedback during the beta period, so this gameplay decision might change with the full release on October 28.

We have even more information about the Modern Warfare 2 beta release date right here. There are also some substantial changes to the Modern Warfare 2 gunsmith system, which we have also outlined.
