There's a big obstacle standing in the way of the fight for Netflix's Warrior Nun to be resurrected on another network or streaming service, and this is unfortunate history.

The traffic flows nowhere near as heavily in the other direction, though Manifest, Lucifer, You, Cobra Kai, The Last Kingdom, Designated Survivor, and Money Heist are some of the most well-known examples.

Neil Patrick Harris' Uncoupled by Showtime is one of the few occasions when a Netflix exclusive is spared the fate of another company. In an even more worrying development, not a single one of them was a fantasy project or something that requires a substantial amount of investment.

Warrior Nun isn't in a position to say it will or will not succeed, as the ongoing movement makes it abundantly clear that the fandom will not give up until every single avenue is explored and exhausted, but it's difficult to look at the statistics and conclude that the challenge will not be complete Sisyphean.

We can always rely on being proved wrong, so let's hope that Warrior Nun will achieve its goals, because there are still plenty more stories to tell about Alba Baptista's title hero and her ruthless convent ass-kickers.
