Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne might be the ones with their names in the title, but it's been clear from the start that Kang the Conqueror will be the real attraction of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania for Marvel fans. Sure, all the signs are pointing to Jonathan Majors putting his brand into place as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's next big bad.

What is even more surprising is that the latest wave of reactions reveals another member of the supporting cast taking the spotlight off of him. Whether they're already familiar with Quantumania or not, many critics and early-bird audience members are raving about Michelle Pfeiffer's portrayal of Janet Van Dyne as either on par with Majors' work in the film or even superior.

The really great moments in the film are when Kang and Janet meet off against one another, something we knew to anticipate, as the trailers suggest that the original Wasp and the temporal dictator have a pre-established rivalry.

The Pfeiffer cheekbones do it again.

"This is Michelle Pfeiffer's film..." You'll be enthused when you hear it.

Make way for Mother Michelle.

Michelle Pfeiffer is to blame for a theft.

After Ant-Man and the Wasp completely underused her character following her departure from the Quantum Realm, we all knew the Batman Returns icon was a household name. Thankfully, it seems her follow-up makes the most of having a bonafide icon like Michelle Pfeiffer in its cast.

Quantumania, Ant-Man and the Wasp, is coming to theaters nationwide on February 17.
