The horror industry has already declared that the scariest genre film of the year will be released in 2023. Rather, a slew of horror films has the tendency to strip away the horror altogether and focus instead on other redeeming qualities, such as being outrageous and featuring unfathomable sequences. This is the case for Cocaine Bear, which is set to light the horror world on fire starting next week.
Redditors over on the r/horror platform are curious about the wide range of opinions that moviegoers possess when it comes to the much-anticipated creature feature. In particular, user u/Helpuswenoobs asked fellow users what they think of the upcoming mega-production.
The comment section at Redditor was soon chock-full of a wide range of different views from film enthusiasts with separate opinions — which unsurprisingly divided the opinions about Cocaine Bear in the middle.
It seems ridiculous to criticize a film before going to the theater to see it. Truth be told, the idea of a horror film centered around a giant bear that is high on cocaine is certainly silly, but this does not mean that Universal will never make a brilliant move.
On February 24, Cocaine Bear launches into cinemas.
