The 14th day in February has long been regarded as one of the most blessed days on the calendar, or at least it has been since 2003, when filmmakers Mark Steven Johnson and Ben Affleck conspired to give the world the gift of Daredevil.
Watching the film through a modern lens is bound to leave you longing for the days of frosted tips and nu-metal.
Affleck ended up with a terrible taste in his mouth that he shagged off playing a superhero ever again, at least until Zack Snyder called him and offered him an even more iconic costumed crimefighter in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It's not that Daredevil's reputation has improved over time.
The only funny thing about Daredevil is that the whole feature was dramatically improved by the addition of Coolio. By some distance, the Director's Cut is the best representation of the underwhelming operating misfire, and a large portion of the additional minutes revolve around a subplot featuring the rapper.
Why not sit back, pay tribute to Daredevil's 20th anniversary, and sing Evanescence to full volume, whether you're single, married, divorcing, engaged, or anything in between?
