On Tuesday, Nintendo released the official title for the highly anticipated sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which fans will call The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. While it sounds dramatic, it left them with one question: which tears?
Were tears meant to be read or pronounced, usually as tears, as in crying or shedding a tear, or as tears, as in tears tearing a paper?
Nintendo announced that the game's name is meant to be read as tears, as in crying, according to Eurogamer on Friday. So, here you go. Maybe we'll be sobbing our way through this Zelda game.
Beyond this particular mystery, the game is already causing much debate as eager fans have developed dozens of theories based on all of the teases.
Tears of the Kingdom, the Nintendo Switch version of The Legend of Zelda, is expected in May 2023.
