Destiny 2 Xur Location and Items, September 16-20

Destiny 2 Xur Location and Items, September 16-20 ...

Xur, a weekly Exotic item merchant, hangs out in random places around the world of Destiny. In Destiny 2, he can appear all over the map as well as inside the Tower. This week, you can find Xur on Nessus, hanging out on the big tree in Watchers Grave.

This week's Xurs inventory consists of the following:

  • Two-Tailed Fox, Void rocket launcher: 29 Legendary Shards
  • Shards of Galanor, Hunter gauntlets: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Hallowfire Heart, Titan chest: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Transversive Steps, Warlock legs: 23 Legendary Shards
  • Exotic Engram: 97 Legendary Shards (you can now purchase a second with an Exotic Cipher)
  • Exotic Cipher quest: free

Xur sells a random roll of Hawkmoon and Dead Mans Tale every week for Season of the Risen and The Witch Queen. Heres what he's selling this weekend:

  • Hawkmoon, Kinetic hand cannon (Paracausal Shot): 125,000 Glimmer, 200 Legendary Shards, Exotic Cipher, Ascendant Shard
  • Dead Mans Tale, Kinetic scout rifle (Cranial Spike): 125,000 Glimmer, 200 Legendary Shards, Exotic Cipher, Ascendant Shard

Xur is also selling an assortment of old weapons and armor similar to Banshee-44 and Ada-1 in Season of the Lost. Typically, these items are difficult to find and come from seasons long ago. Each item (whether armor or weapon) costs only 1,000 Glimmer and 50 Legendary Shards.

  • Imperial Needle, Void bow
  • Iota Draconis, Solar fusion rifle
  • Interference VI, Arc grenade launcher
  • Ignition Code, Kinetic grenade launcher
  • Royale Chase, Void scout rifle
  • Lonesome, Kinetic sidearm
  • Enigmas Draw, Kinetic sidearm
  • Illicit Invader armor set

Items from Xurs are dropped at a power level identical to that of your character.

Two-Tailed Fox

The Forsaken expansion is released with a primary feature, Twintails, that allows it to launch two missiles rather than one both of which follow targets. Its secondary feature is Play With Your Prey, which allows one rocket to deal burning Solar damage while the other to suppress enemies with Void damage.

Two-Tailed Fox is a unique, interesting, and fun to operate device, but its value depends largely on how good rocket launchers are in a given season. And even then, there are usually better alternatives. So grab two-tailed Fox from Xur this week.

Shards of Galanor

Following some serious tweaks, the Shards of Galanor gauntlets are a shadow of what they once were. Sharp Edges is a great way to earn Super energy for every blade you hit with the Blade Barrage ability. It's capped, so you'll never get the entire amount back.

This week, the Xurs roll includes 63 total statistics.

Hallowfire Heart

This is a pretty situational exotic chest piece. The main drawback is Sunfire Furnace, which boosts your skill recharge rate when Hammer of Sol is charged. This exotic requires you to play Sunbreaker, which is fantastic since it's probably the Titan class you're using thanks to Hammer Strike.

It may take some getting used to. This is one of our favorite Titan exotics, and it can be quite powerful if you master it.

This week's Xurs roll comes with 65 total statistics.

Destiny 2's Guide

Transversive Steps

Transversive Steps are the Warlock's quickest boots, and they're a great catch-all Exotic. They include a Strange Protractor, a glitch that increases your sprint speed and automatically reloads your energy weapons in Destiny 2. They're optional, so make sure you get them as soon as you've got one.

This week's Xurs roll includes 59 total statistics.

Exotic Cipher quest

Xur has a new quest for an Exotic Cipher in Beyond Light. These items will enable you to buy old Exotics from the Monuments to Lost Light kiosk in the tower. Youll need these items as well as some other currencies to acquire Exotics like Heir Apparent and Truth.

Xur wants you to complete 21 Strikes or win Crucible or Gambit matches this week. By finishing the quest, you'll earn an Exotic Cipher to use however you want.
