Modern horror filmmaker Alex Garland meets with Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima to exchange presents.
Kojima and Garland, two world-class writers-directors, have stopped by Kojima's to hand over some presents.
Garland gifted Kojima some merchandise from his extensive filmography, including a steelbook for his sci-fi flick Ex Machina, as well as the vinyl soundtrack for his divisive 2022 horror film Men. If you like disturbing images of men giving birth out of their anuses, you'll likely enjoy Men. Or if you just like seeing Jessi Buckley freak out by men giving birth out of their backsides.
The last release of Kojima was Death Stranding, which increased its weirdness levels to eleven. It does involve men, birth, and babies in tubes. Perhaps the two of them should form a group called "Men who enjoy men having somewhat odd body horror and birth imagery."
Garland's next film will be reimagined as a war epic titled Civil War, which will be produced by A24 again, with Kirsten Dunst as the lead actress. No release date has been confirmed yet.
