Hogwarts is a city of mysteries, puzzles, secrets, and magical experiences. Many of these are original to the game, but others are from Harry Potter books and films. One that fans may be wondering about is the Chamber of Secrets, which houses the deadly Basilisk.
In Hogwarts Legacy, may you go to the Chamber of Secrets?
In Hogwarts Legacy, the Chamber of Secrets is not accessible. You may go to the Basilisk's secret hideout, but you cannot go further because there is no way to learn Parseltongue or become a descendant of Salazar Slytherin.
When you inspect the Slytherin Sink, someone has carved an emblem of a snake. Here's how to find the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets in Hogwarts Legacy.
- Use the Lower Grand Staircase fast travel location.
- Descend down the stairs.
- Turn right and go down the hall, going past an armored knight statue.
- Turn right and enter the girl's restroom.
Is the Basilisk in the Hogwarts Legacy?
The Basilisk is only accessible to Hogwarts Legacy students because they aren't able to see the Chamber of Secrets. However, only Slytherin students will be able to discover this easter egg.
In the video, you can see the Basilisk, or a very large snake, slithering through a hallway in the Slytherin dormitory. While the method to find this is unknown, it appears that you must at least be in the Slytherin dormitory at night for it to activate.
