Will Paul Rudds Ant-Man die in Quantumania? Here's Why He Shouldn't

Will Paul Rudds Ant-Man die in Quantumania? Here's Why He Shouldn't ...

There has been speculation that Paul Rudd's Ant-Man might be killed off during the Marvel Cinematic Universe's fifth season, which begins with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and pits Paul Rudd's character against a new supervillain, Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors). Kang's inclusion as Ant-Man's main antagonist raises concerns about the hero's survival.

Scott Lang and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer, directed by Peyton Reed, involves Scott Lang and his 18-year-old daughter, Cassie, Janet van Dyne, and Hank Pym in the quantum realm. Things go awry quickly, as Kang sees Scott as a threat that must be eliminated.

Why Are You Ignoring Scott Lang In Ant-Man 3?

In Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, people are implying that Scott Lang might be killed off for a variety of reasons. First, there's the obvious fact that the Ant-Man film trilogy is coming to an end, as shown in the trailer's fight scenes; Scott Lang is more or less beaten by Kang the Conqueror, portraying a hero willing to sacrifice his life for the greater good.

Another reason to suspect Scott Lang would not be able to fulfill his role in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is that the Marvel Cinematic Universe may be rewriting a line from the series. Cassie, Scott Lang's daughter, eventually becomes the superhero, Stature in the concluding phases of the Multiverse Saga. According to the comics, Scott Lang's death becomes the foundation on which Cassie metamorphoses into Stature.

Paul Rudd's MCU Exit In Phase 5 Would Be A Huge Mistake

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania: The Last Airbender has evolved into one of Marvel's most relatable superheroes. Scott Lang, a thief given a second chance in life, wears a suit that gives him an advantage against villains. His sense of humor and family-centered life make him an easy favorite for viewers.

The dead-dad narrative in The Multiverse Saga has already been played out, and may soon become a predictably dull storyline for the audience. However, there is always the possibility of Ant-Man making a comeback, even if the character gets killed off in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Quantumania, Ant-Man and the Wasp, will be released in theaters on February 17, 2023.
