Genshin Impact's release date is when does Aloy take place?
Aloy will be available to download on or around October 13 during the Genshin Impact 2.2 update.
Players of Genshin Impact will need to wait until the next patch (Update 2.3) to claim Aloy. If you don't have a PlayStation, though, you may be eligible to claim Aloy with the rest of the PlayStation family. Follow the directions provided below.

To complete these steps, you'll need to have a Mihoyo account. If you don't have a Mihoyo account, go to the website, register, and link it up. Once your PSN account has been linked up, you'll be able to access your account again.
Now, it's important to note that the PSN account email you're using has no pre-existing Genshin Impact data on it. If it does, you have two options: create a new PSN account or have Mihoyo customer service manually wipe the Genshin Impact data from your current PSN account.
