The Monster Hunter competitor is revealed in the Wild Hearts trailer ...

With the release of Wild Hearts just around the corner, there's still a lot we don't know about EA and Koei Tecmo's take on the hugely successful Monster Hunter series from Capcom. Check out the new Wild Hearts story trailer below.

Wild Hearts is scheduled to be released on February 16, as EA has developed this new IP with Koei Tecmo in the hopes to disrupt the massive monster series' co-op chaos.

EA recommends you enter the village of Minato to meet your archies who will assist you in your hunt and help you protect the people of Azuma in Wild Hearts. From a blacksmith to a scientist, each one will be critical to your survival against the fierce Kemono. The villagers, together with your fellow hunters, and the ancient technology known as Karakuri will assist you in defeating even the most powerful beasts.

In this Wild Hearts trailer, the village of Minato and its inhabitants are at the center of your adventure, as you hunt monsters and protect the village.

We at PCGamesN are excited for the Capcom series to get some competition, as it can only be beneficial to all parties. Wild Hearts will feature crossplay, in-game voice chat, and systems like co-op revives and base camps as well. If these are successful and popular changes over the Monster Hunter formula, I wouldn't be surprised to see Capcom adapt some of them.

Once the whole roster of Wild Hearts monsters is up, you'll be able to savor them.

The Kemono will have over 20 fans at its launch, with additional content coming later as free downloads. The Kemono's goal is to emphasize "quality over quantity" with its massive monsters, and don't worry, all post-launch content will be free.
