The mobile third-person shooter anime game Goddess of Victory Nikke is now available on PC, with full cross play and progression across PC, Android, and iOS versions of the game. Developer Shift Up also announced the addition of a Nikke x Chainsaw Man collaboration that brings characters from the popular manga and anime series to the free-to-play gacha game.
Nikke, the goddess of victory, was released on mobile devices in November 2022, putting players in charge of a squad that included up to five of the eponymous Nikke. These artificial soldiers were created by humanity to restore Earth's surface from mechanical alien forces that drove the human race underground.
They're also a number of stylish anime ladies that scream more 'post-apocalyptic future war,' than 'cyberpunk fashion show.' The game has drawn criticism for its over-exaggerated character physics and an advertising campaign that had a player lusting after them.
Use a loot box-style gacha system similar to Genshin Impact and Tower of Fantasy to broaden your roster. These games may be purchased using currency earned in the game or with real money microtransactions.
The gameplay is a cover-based shooter, in which you'll have to blast waves of enemies across each stage, culminating in a tougher boss battle. You'll also need to level up your characters and equip them with better gear between missions to boost your combat potential.
The PC release includes the newly released horizontal screen support (the game was initially intended to be played vertically on mobile devices) along with full keyboard and mouse support that should suit the third person shooter gameplay perfectly. Aiming is handled with the mouse as you would expect, while the keyboard is used to switch between your roster and unleash their Burst special abilities.
Chainsaw Man's Nikke collaboration will begin on February 22. Popular characters from the hugely successful manga and anime series will be introduced in Goddess of Victory: Nikke. Watch the teaser below, which features all of the high-octane chaos you'd expect from the show.
Nikke, the new PC version of Goddess of Victory, is available now. It is compatible with Android and iOS devices as well as Steam and other popular stores such as the Epic Games Store or GOG. For the time being, you'll have to download it from the official website.
