While traversing the magical world of Dreamlight Valley, almost every quest and activity requires players to gather a large amount of money. Each resource has its own unique location and gathering technique.
Night Shards are a common resource that players may need. They are the darker sister of Dream Shards and are somewhat less difficult to obtain.
Night Shards will be required far less often than its counterpart. However, it is still a good idea to stock up on this resource so you are prepared if you are tasked with acquiring them.
In Disney Dreamlight Valley, where can I find Night Shards?
Night Shards may be found in any biome around Dreamlight Valley. However, they are only discovered by digging up the visible stones.
Depending on which biome you are in, these sparkling spots can be quite difficult to miss. For instance, in the shadowy and dense Forgotten Lands biome, or in the dark and swampy Glade of Trust biome, you can look around carefully for sparkles.
Night Shards aren't guaranteed to be what falls when players dig up these mounds, although they are certainly more common than Dream Shards. The ability to maintain Night Shards is largely down to luck.
It's very possible that additional methods for gathering this material may be introduced in the future, considering Disney Dreamlight Valley's early access condition. Gameloft has already worked on improving the current low drop rate, so players may expect some additional adjustments shortly.
In Disney Dreamlight Valley, how do you use Night Shards?
For the time being, this resource has two real applications. Players may be required to acquire Night Shards as part of various quests, especially if the quest is from Merlin, who will ask players to help him understand what this unique resource is.
When combined with a Dream Shard, five Night Shards may be used to craft the Purified Night Shard. While this is a great present to give to a Disney character when trying to build your friendship with them, both Night Shards and Dream Shards have a low drop rate, players should stock up on as many of them as possible to ensure they can complete all quests.
