The first trailer for the upcoming Super Mario Bros film has been confirmed, and we don't have too long to go until the first trailer.

Chris Pratt will play the iconic Nintendo character in the anticipated animated film, although the look and sound of the actors have remained hidden.

New York Comic-Con has confirmed that the teaser will be released on October 6 at 4pm ET (8pm GMT).

"Join us October 6th at 4pm ET for the teaser trailer premiere of Nintendo & Illumination's upcoming Super Mario Bros. film, which will be released on April 7, 2023," they said.

Anya Taylor-Joy will play Princess Peach, Charlie Day will play Luigi, Jack Black will play Bowser, Keegan Michael-Key will play Toad, and Seth Rogen will play Donkey Kong.

The Mario actor recently teased what his voice would be like for the Italian plumber, revealing that it will be different from what you would expect.

"I worked really closely with the directors and tried out a few things, and came up with a project that I'm very proud of and can't wait for others to see and hear," Pratt told Variety.

"It's an animated voiceover narrative. It's not a live-action film. I'm not going to be wearing a plumber suit running all over."

Pratt's selection has sparked some debate, although producer Chris Meledandri has defended the actor's choice.

"I feel I can make the decision without worrying about offending Italians or Italian Americans," he said earlier this year. "I think we're going to be fine," especially because [Pratt] has given such an excellent performance.

The Super Mario Bros. film is anticipated to be released on April 7, 2023 in the United States.
