The first look at the Taskmaster tool reveals some of the new strange tasks ...

In less than a week's time, Taskmaster is back, and this is the perfect time to revisit a few of the tasks we can anticipate.

Dara O Briain, Fern Brady, Munya Chawawa, John Kearns, and Sarah Millican are among the winners of the 14th(!) series of brilliantly bonkers comedy competition, with Greg Davies and Alex Horne as regular judges.

The brief teaser demonstrates that comedians must, among other things, invent a hidden language, snort... something, stick a vacuum cleaner pipe up a plush animal, throw balls at Alex while he's stuck in a metal drum, and possibly drink breast milk.

"I'll take five experienced comedians and make them dance for you!" Greg said. "Until they've realised it was possible to dance, their hot tears will flood their greedy little eyes."

He's probably being metaphorical, but we'd also really like to see some strange dancing.

As Mock the Week begins its final series tonight (September 23), Taskmaster is going from strength to strength, having recently shown its second Champion of Champions special.

"That's it folks, the UK has finally run out of information," Dara said in August.

"The stories were getting worse and worse: global pandemics, disconnection from Europe, novelty short-term Prime Ministers." We are closing the doors on Dara and Hugh's Academy for Baby Comedians. We just couldn't be more silly than the story itself.

"Huge thanks to all of our guests over the years, so many of whom went on to make a fortune on their own, and never wrote or called."

Taskmaster will return on Thursday, September 29 at 9pm.
