Moon Dancer brings NES-style beats and sci-fi shmup action to Switch next week ...

Regsta has announced that the sci-fi shoot 'em up Moon Dancer would be available on Western consoles on September 29th.

Our little shmup bellies were bursting with fly-eyed shooter-y goodness after having a great time with Radiant Silvergun earlier this week. But just as there is always room for more shoot 'em ups, there is always room for more shoot 'em ups.

Moon Dancer is a vertical space shooter in which you take control of the titular ship and blast waves of enemies, in a similar vein to other genre titles. It's a shoot 'em up game, what did you expect? Dancing on the moon? This is all about tactical aim.

The following summary from the Switch eShop game page gives further information on Moon Dancer.

Moon Dancer is a vertically scrolling shmup with exhilarating lock-on lasers. - Exhilarating lock-on lasers - Operate the fighter "Moon Dancer" equipped with shots and lock-on lasers to defeat the enemy. - Players in both modes must complete the mission within three minutes of arrival. - The chiptune arrangement version by Taku Shiiba is also supported.

Moon Dancer is currently available to pre-order on the eShop, with the game receiving a generous 40% discount (until October 21st) to mark its release. This decreases the price of 15.99 to 9.50, making it a much more appealing offer to anyone considering purchasing.
