On social media, tens of thousands of Madden NFL 23Ultimate Team players have declared a Pack Strike. The games biggest influencers say they'll be putting their money aside until changes are made to the odds of obtaining desirable items from Ultimate Teams loot boxes as well as Maddens gameplay as a whole.

With the following tweet from Madden influencer Zirksee, the hashtag #PACKSTRIKE got going on Tuesday. They claim that Madden Ultimate Team gamblers aren't getting enough value out of the games' more costly bundles, or by re-rolling cards, where players toss the less desirable items they draw in search of a better card.

Despite the damage they are causing to their teams performance, thousands of Madden NFL Ultimate Team followers have pledged their support for the microtransaction strike, despite the fact that they will not buy better players from the open market.

Madden NFL 23 was released on Aug. 19; we thought the game was fine, especially when it came to the running game and its blocking assignments. However, the game tends to stumble in the larger context of its Ultimate Team and Franchise modes; many players are discovering the games are much larger and weaker, and they won't stick with it for the rest of the NFL season.
