Babylons Fall from Square Enix was a complete misfire, that GameStop is giving it away for free ...

Babylons Fall, a shootout game developed by PlatinumGames and publisher Square Enix, has had its fair share of bad days. Not many, mind you, but they are undoubtedly better. We had modest expectations for it back when it was re-released in 2021, but it was before it.

Platinums latest is doing awfully wrong right now. So badly that Square Enix announced last week that it would phase out its games live service on February 27, 2023, removing the gameplay data and its Hanging Garden player site less than a year after it was launched. So badly that the games 24-hour player count peak on SteamDB has dropped from 1,188 to around six players in just a month. So badly that some GameStop locations are giving it away like its free real estate, according to Cheap Ass Gamer.
