With a two-day tournament featuring a $200,000 prize pool and awarding invitations to the Magic World Championship, Magic Arena is back at the forefront of competitive play.

Arena Championship 1 is the first premier Arena event for the 2023 competitive season. Both days will begin at 11am CT on the Magic Twitch channel.

This event will go directly into the 2023 Magic World Championship and will run alongside the updated Pro Tour and the Magic Online showcase system.

The Arena Championship will feature the set in both limited and constructed rounds following the release of Dominaria United.

Day one will begin with three rounds of Dominaria United Draft, followed by three rounds of Alchemy Constructed. Day two will feature three rounds of Alchemy Constructed, followed by a top eight played in the same format.

The winners and losers of the Arena Championship will be eligible for invitations to the 2023 Magic World Championship and their share of the $200,000 prize pool.

The tournament bracket is filled with new and familiar names. Due to the open nature of Magic Arena qualifiers, this event provides an opportunity for relatively unknown names to emerge. Players qualified for the event during qualifying weekends in May, June, July, and August.

Shota Yasooka, a Hall of Famer, is returning for the Arena Championship with an Alchemy variant in May.

The next Arena Championship will take place in January. Players may qualify by completing their level up to Mythic on Arena and qualifying for the Arena Championship Qualifier Weekend.
