Power's mid-season finale ended with a gigantic cliffhanger, and fans of the program have been busy attempting to figure out what happened so far.
Ghost (Omari Hardwick) took a proud look at the pitch-black New York skyline in the last scene of "No One Can Stop Me," and two others were shot by an anonymous attacker. Dozens of theories have surfaced in the aftermath of the blood-chilling twist, with many praying for Ghost's return.
Is Ghost truly dead in Power?
Is Ghost truly dead in 'Power,' or is this merely a clever ruse?
In a previous interview with TV Guide, Courtney Kemp stated, "He got shot. I didn't see him die. Did you see him die."
Unfortunately, Courtney declined to disclose how the violent scene may influence the character's future for fans.
While the creators might be silent, fans of the program have been anything but. The balcony scene resulted in a slew of theories, some of which attempt to employ the tiniest, subtlest clues to determine on the true identity of the killer. Others focus on Ghost's life expectancy on the series, with many attempting to figure out how the ever-popular character would eventually return and what the true purpose of the shooting scene was.
According to a fan, Angela was the one who faked Ghost's death.
"My wild card theory is that this whole thing was a setting for Ghost to be murdered by none other than Ghost himself and Angela," quotes a fan's YouTube comment on The Sun.
Ghost and Angela began plotting the ploy during the Season 5 finale, which saw the pair arrange a meeting with Tommy (Joseph Sikora) and Tasha (Naturi Naughton). As the fan vouches, Angela has been emphasized on arranging Ghost's disappearance, and her plans have finally been fruition.
"I believe Paz (Elizabeth Rodriguez) is the one who shot him, and I believe she's been in on it the entire time with them," the fan says of The Sun.
"I believe Angela and Ghost knew Tommy and Tasha would go rogue on the plan they came up with that day, and she and Ghost had a second part to it," the fan added.
In a recent tweet, another Power fan reached alarmingly similar conclusions.
"What if Ghost is still alive, and Ramona helped him fake his death?" she wrote.
"Kate said it! It's a HOAX! Since the beginning of Power, she's been a crazy ck-head that ALWAYS revealed the truth!!! She wasn't happy if Ghost was dead, she wouldn't be that happy. It's a secret, I'm sure."
"I'm telling everyone the shooter is Ramona, under the supervision of the Democratic Party." DMC discovered Paz had a wire, and the FBI was still investigating Ghost's, as she is the unusual suspect," another person argued.
